What is a Hat Bar?

Our Hat Bar is a traveling, creation studio that allows you to fully customize your very own hat with all the bells and whistles. We offer boho, as well as fedora and cowboy style hats. You begin with choosing the style of hat that works for you and then you pick out your bands, leather, matchbooks, playing cards and/or feathers you want added to your hat. After you have picked out all your favorite accessories we will help you assemble your hat. For the finishing touches you can have your hat branded or burned with a design of your liking.

Where We Will Travel

While we love our local venues , we are willing to travel within a 2 hour radius of Clarion, Pa.

We due require a minimum of 5 people per party with a $50 non-refundable deposit. That money then will go towards the purchase of your hat, the day of the event.

Meet The Owner

Welcome! My name is Kayla Wayland and I own and operate Northern Felt Hat Co. as well as The Sugar Tree Boutique and Co.

Northern Felt came about when I was looking for a service to add to our existing online/mobile clothing boutique and a custom hat bar seemed to be a natural fit. I have always loved hats, whether it's a boho hat, cowboy hat or a good ol' ball cap- give me them all!

I really enjoy bringing people together and making a happy, welcoming and warm environment for those I'm around. What better way to do that then bringing women clothing, jewelry and accessories straight to your door? What Days Are You Available For Parties?

We are available for parties everyday except Sundays.

How Much Does It Cost To Build A Hat?

Our workshop events are $75. Everything is included in that price, your hat and embellishments. You can also choose to have your hat burned or branded and add bigger items like brooches and pins.

Can I Bring My Own Hat To Be Customized?

YES! We do charge a $20 styling fee if you would like to bring your own hat to be customized

Do You Offer One-On-One Customizing?

Yes, we love custom orders! We offer in person (if local) or online customizing, via skype or facetime. Please reach out to Kayla for more information.
